| 2008 NEW TEXAS TALENT - JULIE KRONICK, JUROR - Craighead Green Gallery is excited to present the 15th annual New Texas Talent, 2008 exhibition. Conceived in 1994, New Texas Talent is designed to introduce and promote emerging artists. Each year approximately 500 entries are submitted for review by a gallery selected juror. The juror then independently selects artists to participate in the New Texas Talent exhibition. Through their participation, some artists have been offered professional gallery representation and have received media exposure throughout Texas. The criteria for entering New Texas Talent are as follows: All artists residing in Texas over the age of 18 with no for-profit gallery representation and limited non-profit gallery exposure are eligible. No entry fee is required but a suggested donation of $5.00 to EASL raised nearly $400.00. All visual media was accepted with the exception of film, video, utilitarian crafts and jewelry. All works are for sale. Artists may submit up to 3 slides for consideration. |

| Julie Kronick accepted the offer to juror the exhibition. Her selections include a diverse body of work by 25 Texas Artist. The show will also include 2 artists that were chosen by the Gallery as “Gallery Picks”. Kronick is the corporate art curator for Neiman Marcus. For over 15 years she has nurtured and continued to build the remarkable collection originally started by Stanley Marcus himself. Their collection now consists of over 2500 works of all medium. Kronick seeks out emerging and mid – career artist, often choosing from the local communities where the stores are located or stores that are in the process of being opened. Ms. Kronick has done an exceptional job of choosing a great selection of Texas artist for our 2008 exhibition. We hope you will attend the opening, Saturday, July 26, 5PM - 8PM. |
